In With the New
Sea Ray and Aston Martin combine forces to celebrate one Dallas couple’s brand-new 540 Sundancer.
Bill and Sarah Loughborough arrived in grand style as they found themselves stepping out of a new Aston Martin Rapide S and onto a red carpet, while their new 2014 540 Sundancer floated elegantly in the distance. The couple was picked up from their home in Plano, Texas, and shuttled to their own exclusive event, hosted by MarineMax to re-welcome the couple into the Sea Ray family and celebrate the many pleasures that come along with it.

More than fifty of the Loughboroughs’ friends and family members gathered at Pier 121 Marina in Lewisville, Texas, to toast the couple’s new yacht and their future adventures on the open water. The Loughboroughs have owned several Sea Rays in the past and were thrilled to take delivery of the 540 Sundancer, which they plan to take to their home in Cabo San Lucas.
Joined by MarineMax salesmen Franklin Pillsbury IV and Brendan Bailey and MarineMax Texas Marketing Coordinator Amy Dettmer, the Loughboroughs formally christened their new Sundancer “Suga Ray” and thanked the crowd for being a part of the ceremony.
Guests were treated to delicious hors d’oeuvres created by Executive Chef Andrew Powers of Dee Lincoln’s Dining Room and Bubble Bar in uptown Dallas, including mini crab cakes, smoked salmon crostini, wasabi tobiko, red pepper hummus and tenderloin sliders. Attendees also enjoyed savory New Zealand wines, with Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Noir provided by Nobilo Wines.
Not to mention, Aston Martin did more than just deliver them to the event. The Loughboroughs, along with friends and family, got the unique opportunity to take a drive with Aston Martin professional drivers and savor the exceptional design, craftsmanship and quality of three beautiful models: the aforementioned Rapide S, the DB9 Coupe and the V8 Vantage S Roadster. It was a fitting joyride to pave the way for the many joyous voyages to come in their new Sundancer.
