More Power to You
The ever-expanding Sea Ray Sundeck line now comes with more models, more functionality and more power options.
Despite what you may have heard, less is not more. It may be a cute phrase, but the obvious truth is: more is more. We don’t want fewer choices. We don’t want our decisions made for us. And we definitely don’t want to have to pick which of our friends we aren’t going to take with us when we head to the water for the weekend.
That, in a nutshell, is the reasoning behind the growing family of Sea Ray Sundecks, with more models, more features, more options, more utility and more power choices than ever before. In the past year alone, seven new Sundecks have been added to the lineup: the 220 Sundeck, 220 Sundeck Outboard, 240 Sundeck, 240 Sundeck Outboard, 270 Sundeck, 270 Sundeck Outboard and the 290 Sundeck.
You couldn’t make a wrong choice from this list of stellar boats, and Sea Ray bets that with all of these options—all of these opportunities to focus in on those differences that deliver exactly what you want—you’re more likely to make exactly the right choice for you.
As you hit the water, the power of the Sundeck series is unmistakable. Mercury® Verado FourStroke outboards allow for running in shallower water and easier beaching than the powerful and popular MerCruiser sterndrive configurations. And no matter which configuration you select, there are several horsepower and drive options to further customize your giddy up and put those awesome forward-leaning sports towers to serious use. Because, even though Sundecks are built for spreading out and relaxing with friends and family, they’re also serious performers guaranteed to pull yips and hoots from even the most jaded teen thrill junkies.
What’s more, all these new Sundecks have greatly amped up their social skills with multiple conversation zones throughout, meaning you and yours will be smiling at each other all day long. Ergonomics have been improved, with seating modifications plus extra conveniences like handholds, cup holders, stereo remotes and storage readily at hand. When you settle into the expansive loungers in the transom fun zone with the convenient remote-controlled stereo painting just the right soundscape, the 800th cannonball you watch will be every bit as enjoyable as the 799 that went before.
“We didn’t come out with all of these great Sundeck options to make choosing your boat difficult, but rather to make it easier,” says Tim Schiek, president of the Sea Ray Boat Group. “Give the people what they want, without dictating what that is. They’re smart enough to decide, and we’ve found what they want is choice. It’s why Sea Ray’s Sundecks are by far the most popular premium deck boats in the market.”
